Player Evaluations
The Evaluation and Practice Schedule has been posted to this website. You can find it on the "Practice Schedules" page. It has also been sent via email to all the Fraser Valley families who are currently in our email contacts from last season.
The updated Evaluation Letter to Parents has been attached to this page and can be found on the bottom left hand corner.
For those of you who are interested, we have also attached samples of the forms our evaluators use at each of the evaluations. Be warned there is a lot of information in these excel spreadsheets.
2009 - 2010 Evaluation Process
NOVICE (U-10) and PETITE (U-12)
These divisions will continue to be evaluated but the evaluation scores will be used to help the Executive in creating equal teams. The evaluators for the Novice (U-10) and Petite (U-12) Divisions will be coaches from within the division, with a draft at the end of the evaluation process to determine player placement. The basis for the evaluations and draft is to create equally balanced teams.
TWEEN (U-14) and JUNIOR (U-16)
These divisions will continue to be evaluated with the purpose of placing these players on teams of like caliber of play. The scores will be tallied and used to determine the placement of players into higher or lower teams the within the division. The Lower Mainland Ringette League offers league schedules for A - B - C caliber of play.
The head coaches of the Tween (U-14) and Junior (U-16) teams may have input on the placement of the final three roster positions for their division. If a player does not wish to be evaluated for the more competitive team, but would still like to skate during evaluations, please inform us when you sign-in and receive your evaluation jersey.
